HSWA Compliance for Company Directors

Are you a Director, Partner, General Partner or Board Member, or do you have significant influence on how an entity is managed, such as a CEO/Manager? If so, then your position means you hold a due diligence duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA).

What this means is that you are responsible for taking appropriate, proactive steps to ensure compliance.

It is intended that Health and Safety begins at the very top of an organisation. These responsibilities depend on the type of entity and correlate with an officer’s role and influence over managing risk.

It is imperative that anyone in any leadership role is aware of and fulfilling their specific responsibilities under the HSWA.

I used to work out my GST and process it manually which would take me at least a full day every two months. Angelina then set up reconcilliations rules and other quick tools, and showed me how to do all my reconcilliations and process my GST returns through Xero which now takes me no time at all!
