Juanita Promoted to Associate

As we approach the end of another very busy and challenging year for our team here at Rural Accountants, we are pleased to share some good news. Juanita Mottram has recently accepted her promotion as Associate seeing her get one step closer on her career path to make Partner one day.

Rural Accountants Director, Shannon Harnett, explains the promotion recognises Juanita’s Chartered Accountant qualification as well as her achievement to date both in her role at Rural Accountants and gaining her CAANZ certification.

“We are delighted to see Juanita step up into this role,” she says. “In the last few years, Juanita has worked extremely hard managing work, family and study.”

The Associate position will see Juanita join the management team giving her more insight into the business plus taking a leadership role with her clients. The role is considered the first step on a career pathway to Partner in the accounting industry.

Juanita has always had the Partner position in her sights and continues to do so.  However, it is her commitment to Rural Accountants and desire to take a decision making role in the business that underpins her work and achievements.

“It’s a really great bunch of people here. The team is really friendly and we all get along well,” explains Juanita.  “Everyone is able to bounce ideas and help each other out.”

Joining Rural Accountants in 2018 with a degree in Accounting and a degree in Marketing & Public Relations, Juanita has really found her feet here and hit her stride once she set her sights on gaining the CAANZ certification. Her enthusiasm, motivation and hard work have seen her establish a clear career as a highly skilled chartered accountant, and we know her clients will continue to value her as much as we do.

I used to work out my GST and process it manually which would take me at least a full day every two months. The team set up reconcilliation rules and other quick tools, and showed me how to do all my reconcilliations and process my GST returns through Xero which now takes me no time at all!
